Fashion In The Fast Lane

Fashion is all about the hottest new bag, shoes or designer. PR firm Just Off 7th Ave is living out their mission to celebrate and support exactly that: the up-and-coming. This Friday, February 28th, they will be hosting Fashion in the Fast Lane Runway Series at Melrose Ballroom. Equipped with a live DJ, the biggest LCD wall on the East Coast and a rooftop garden, Fashion in the Fast Lane will be a night filled with high fashion, networking, hor'dourves, gift bags and more.

The series, which highlights aspiring models and designers looking to win their big break in the fashion industry, is coming to major television networks later this year, with high-octane episodes you won't want to miss!

Marco Hall, a veteran designer of over two decades, whose creations have been worn by A-listers on everything from the red carpet to the silver screen, is preparing to take the next big step in his illustrious career, as the New Year approaches. "I love fashion," says Hall, whose work is now part of the curriculum at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). "It's everything I've always wanted to do. I began sewing, by hand, in the fifth grade."

The creation of fashion is a complex process, and on Fashion In The Fast Lane, viewers will discover how this takes place. Each designer/model pair selected for the program must work together to impress the show's cast sufficiently enough to advance to the next level. The competition for a chance to sign on with a major label, or model with a big-time agency, is keen.

Take a moment to consider your daily wardrobe. The look you show the world through the clothes you wear, is a statement about your taste, color preferences, and self-image. Your garments are a powerful definition of who you are, and what you do. But there's an equally powerful story to be told about how those skirts, dresses, slacks, blouses, shoes, and accessories come into being, before they find their way into your closet. That's the aim of a fascinating new television series now in production on the streets of New York City. Entitled Fashion In The Fast Lane, the program is an in-depth look at aspiring designers and models seeking the big break that will accelerate their professional careers, as they create and showcase new designs from the ground up.

In a stunning culmination to New York Fashion Week, The Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan's Chelsea section hosted Beauty With Pure Purpose, a benefit fashion show and silent auction recognizing women living with breast cancer and Alopecia, this past Sunday. The event was packed with notables from the fashion, television and music industries, and featured critically-acclaimed designers' Spring/Summer 2014 collections.

One of the highlights of the program wil be the public debut introduction of the cast and Executive team of the new TV series, Fashion In The Fast Lane, which focuses on how fashion is created, and the way aspiring designers and models achieve their big break. Starring celebrity stylist, author, and radio/TV personality Delvon Johnson as the series' host, the groundbreaking show also features legendary supermodel CoCo Mitchell, high-end swimwear and accessory designer Sonjja Baram, and haute-couture creator and entrepreneur Marco Hall.
